# PDF toolbar icon not shown in IBM Notes 9 toolbar

With the release of IBM Notes 9, the toolbar which also contains the PDF Converter's smart icon is by default hidden in the read mode.&#x20;

To show the SWING PDF Converter toolbar icon, select "View" in the Lotus Notes 9 Workspace and unmark the "Show Toolbars Only When Editing" option.
