# Notes password issue

If you get this Notes password issue:

**Please follow these steps:**

1\) Open Seascape and navigate to **Actions → Installation → Verify Installation**.

2\) When the verification window appears, click **"Verify Installation"**.

3\) If all items have a green tick (as shown in our screenshot), then go to **Actions → External JVM → Reset user credentials**.&#x20;

4\) In the popup window, enter your credentials, then exit Seascape and try running the conversion again.

5\) If the issue persists after completing steps 1–4, navigate to **Settings** and change the **JVM in use** to **Notes JVM** instead of **External JVM**.&#x20;
