# Set up automated email exports

Here are the steps to set up an automated export of Outlook folders to a location on your hard drive.

**Note:** The automated exports work only when Outlook is running. Exports will not be performed if Outlook is closed.

1\. Open the SWING Porter ribbon and click on **Settings (1):**

2\. Select **Automatic Archival (1)** and click **New (2):**

3\. Using the Conversion Profile window which opens up, configure your preferred export settings and your export schedule. In the below example, the automatic archival is set to run every 30 minutes. When finished, click **OK:**

4\. Your new job now appears in the list of archiving jobs and it will run according to the pre-set schedule. Click OK to finish setting up the automated PDF export:
