# Deployment check-list

The following is a check-list for ensuring that the basic prerequisites for using the SWING PDF Converter toolbar icon are met:

1. The PDFConverter.nfs file was extracted properly from the ZIP package and placed in the Notes Data directory (or Domino Data directory if installing on server). PDFConverter.nsf cannot be used directly from inside the ZIP package
2. The user who is using the PDF toolbar icon must have write permissions on the Notes Data directory
3. The user who is using the PDF toolbar icon must have the Editor access set in the PDF Converter ACL (or a higher one)
4. After the first conversion job is started, a SwPDFC folder containing Java resources (.jar files) must appear in the Notes Data directory
5. Your system conforms to the product's system requirements
6. If the Low-level document rendering option has been enabled in General Settings, then a DLL file (swllrend.dll) must appear in the Notes Installation directory. More information on the required DLL file is available here:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.swingsoftware.com/pdf-converter-for-notes/tips-miscellaneous/deployment-check-list.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
