# ZIP files can not be detached from PDF

Opening zip attachments depends on security settings of your PDF reader.

Adobe Reader does not allow this type of attachments to be opened so in PDF Converter settings we have two options to overcome this issue.

First is to rename zip extension to 7z (or any other, but with 7z you can open file directly in 7zip or other program that supports that file type) or to extract zip and append files inside a zip to your PDF.

Those settings can be found in Attachments tab of your PDF Settings:
